The Three Musketeers - On Airships!

I have come home to discover that the internets and my inbox are buzzing about this again.
Ok. Let us, as a group, face some painful facts here. One, the actor playing D'Artagnan, and I have no kind way of saying this, sucks. That this is apparent from the trailer does not bode well for any Three Musketeers film, no matter what is thrown at the screen to hide it. Two, someone, and I suspect someone who wishes to remain safely anonymous, thought that casting Mathew Macfadyen as Athos was a good idea. (I like the actor, but this does not seem to be his role. On the other hand, Ray Stevenson. Already I am relieved. And Christoph Waltz as Cardinal Richelieu is, I must admit, inspired casting.) Three, Milady is diving off glorious chateaus.
Three, someone has put airships into a Three Musketeers movie.
I can understand many of you, who grew up either with earlier films or the Dumas novel feeling, shall we say, a bit disturbed by this. I share your queasiness, and will confess that I am thoroughly expecting the movie to reveal that the airships are actually owned by the Count of Monte Cristo because, well, why not? Look, they've put airships into a Three Musketeers movie.
But fear not. Orlando Bloom is playing the Duke of Buckingham.
Ok. Fear away. But yes, I was informed by email that I will be snarking this film. So.
