I spent three marvelous years at Binghamton University, shifting residences as I returned each year. The last of these places -- somewhat ironically, since it was the building by far in best shape --
is now threatened with rising floodwaters.
The place where I lived my first year there was condemned while I was living in it and demolished shortly afterwards and if Google is not lying to me, is now occupied by a Chuck E. Cheese, which seems entirely appropriate. Having another old dwelling place hit by water seems somehow less appropriate.
Update: In further checking, I see I would have had to evacuate from both of my last two homes in Binghamton.
This is very odd to watch.
