Back when a certain piece of casting was announced, a friend of mine who had not read Game of Thrones grumbled, "Great. Now I know the ending."

Stunningly, he does not die in the first movie I saw him in (_Ronin_), but he was the painful fuck-up there, so I totally recognized that character in Boromir.

(_Ronin_ is a great caper flick, but do not watch the alternate ending on the DVD.)
