L'Engle and the Glorious Impossible
Dec. 22nd, 2011 03:11 pmThe good news is that
fbhjr and
malterre have been in town this week, which has led to marvelous things. The bad news is that my brother and I may just have lingered at Seaworld a leeetle too long last night (they had dancing Christmas lights over their lake thingy plus little monkeys, neither of which are precisely what pop to mind with the word "Seaworld" but both of which left me mesmerized and wanting a little big eyed monkey of my own.) So today has been a combination of exhaustion and occasionally feeling the planet shifting beneath me again.
However, hot chocolate has allowed me to inform you that I have a short post up about Madeleine L'Engle's The Glorious Impossible over at Tor.com today. I'll have more to say about this reread and my growing discomfort with some of L'Engle's later books, and particularly the O'Keefe series, next week when I have a bit more energy.
