I don't drive, so I'm not worried about the parking issue. I am worried about navigating O'Hare but that's equally true of Atlanta's airport.
The problem with DragonCon is that only a limited number of elevators service the main convention areas in the Hyatt, and these happen to be the same four elevators that have to service the rest of the completely sold out 22 stories of hotel rooms not counting the top suites - and at DragonCon most of these rooms are packed with four to six people. Add to this the problem that the Hyatt has been locked down for capacity for crowds, and you have a potential recipe for disaster.
I may be fine. But in crowds I can become VERY sick VERY quickly and/or pass out. At Gen Con I had enough warning to make it back to the room because I never went that far, and I never had to try to get through dense crowds. DragonCon may be a huge problem.
If I do come to WorldCon, I'd love to get together -- I don't know how many people I'll know at WorldCon (a few, but it's not exactly the same as the WFC or the ICFA crowds) so that would be great.
