The oddity of Downton Abbey spoilers
Jan. 14th, 2013 01:48 pmDespite trying to remain unspoiled for the third season of Downton Abbey I was spoiled for what I thought were the only major developments, and figured that I would just have to watch it in the full knowledge of what would happen...
...only to be caught completely offguard by the major development in last night's episode, which I did not see coming, and which, by the way, WAS VERY MEAN Downton Abbey, and I don't even particularly like that character, but still, geesh, and to find myself vaguely resentful that no one had spoiled that for me after feeling vaguely resentful about the earlier spoilers.
Since I'm chatting the third season, I might as well note that I'm kinda bored with the prison storyline, though the actor's voice, still shivery, and, since I'm chatting spoilers, the arrival of a mysterious scarf clad man in a blue phone booth was most welcome, until he announced that this was one timeline he couldn't fix, and spun away, which was all very sad until I realized that yes, one of the other characters was getting exterminated by Daleks.
