Heartless: The Story of the Tin Man
May. 9th, 2010 09:50 pmTor.com just alerted me to this short film, Heartless: the Story of the Tin Man:
It's both beautiful and, for me, utterly disorienting. My mental image of the Tin Man has been so strongly shaped by John R. Neill's marvelous illustrations that a Tin Man who does not fit that image seems wrong, and yet, this Tin Man feels solid and real.
I especially love the end credits, which roll over the original Denslow illustrations.
