Still stuck in the land of internet hell. Seriously, what is it with Massachusetts hotels? Fortunately, I typed up the con report in Word, so you might as well have it now:

Day 1, Travel:

1. One way to lose friends and not influence people: attempt to cut in front of the disabled security line. In doing so, move the grey bins that a skyhop has just placed on the rack to hold the items of the people waiting in wheelchairs back into the pile so that the skyhop has to pull out the bins all over again, followed by loud comments asking why the security line is so slow and why the wheelchair bound passengers can't "walk faster" and why the wanding process for those unable to leave their chairs is taking so long.

He got sent to the back of the regular line.

2. Decided winner in the disability navigation system: Orlando, which provides excellent curbside to gate wheelchair service. Decided loser: Logan, where my courtesy wheelchair was merrily stolen by other people, leading to a bizarre and unnecessary argument where Jet Blue wanted to put me into the nearest waiting wheelchair, which happened to have "Spirit Airlines" written all over it, and where the skyhop wanted to reserve the Spirit Airlines wheelchair for Spirit Airlines passengers. In a great moment of "whatever, I just hate Logan Airport" I got into the Spirit wheelchair anyway, escorted by a couple of Russians down to baggage claim where [personal profile] fbhjr was waiting. They did not want to give up the chair. I had to pay them to go away, although, to be truthful, I can see absolutely no reason why anyone would even consider stealing the chair anyway, given that it was one of the Worst Wheelchairs Ever.

3. That was kinda it for Day 1.
