Worcester Carnival of Authors
Nov. 11th, 2011 01:42 pmFor those who haven't heard yet, Annie's Book Stop of Worcester is hosting a Carnival of Authors next Saturday. I mention this not only because it's being hosted by good friend
p_m_cryan but because featured authors include Terri-Lynne DeFino, known around here as
bogwitch64 who was the person responsible for creating the dazzle of a gift of ruby slippers (real. ruby. slippers.) to
csecooney. I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting Terri-Lynne in real life and can report that she's completely awesome, although you are warned: the pictures she wields of a newly arrived grandson may just slay you with their cuteness. And when not hanging out at cons, delivering spectacular shoes, or blogging here and there, Terri-Lynne also writes pretty good books, like this one. (I've heard a little rumor that she might even be willing to sign them for you.)
And if that isn't enough, also in attendance will be Jon Gibbs, known around here as, well,
jongibbs, author of Fur Face, and Gavin Grant and Kelly Link of Small Beer Press, which, um, just happens to be reprinting an Oz book at the end of this month, Geoff Ryman's Was.
So, you know, Oz! Ok, maybe not that much actual Oz. But. Authors! Books!
Details here.
