Quick addendum regarding WFC

marinessMy amazingly cheap smart phone does, alas, have one tiny teensy flaw: it does not work in Canada. And since I completely forgot to buy one of those little SD cards that can allow your phone to magically transform into a little Canadian phone, I shall be pretty much cell phone free in Canada, barring the Unexpected and Extremely Unlikely Miracle of getting a cell phone signal from Buffalo. (Given that my phone often can't reach a cell tower in parts of Florida, let's not hope.) And although in theory the convention has Wifi access, the Wifi access at the last two WFCs does not give me much hope.
Nonetheless, I shall have my iPad with me and will be making a valiant attempt to check in more or less regularly with Twitter and with my various email accounts. And of course, people looking for me at the con can always try the ancient approach of regular speech. Hey, the Romans built an Empire that way. We could even try writing on tiny scrolls and passing those around.
