marinessMassive headache, but had to take a moment to note that I've started to blog about the original 14 Oz books by L. Frank Baum over at Tor.com. You can read the first entry here.
The Oz books featured girls getting to go on adventures and eat marvelous food and go to parties with real fairies, plus, bonus points for featuring decidedly weird characters who are completely accepted despite looking considerably different - even inhuman, in many cases. Which is why these books were childhood favorites, read over and over again, and why my blogging for Tor cannot exactly be considered unbiased since, well, I love the books.
