As if to directly contradict my recent protests that I'm really a fantasy/horror writer, not a science fiction writer, Everyday Weirdness has published my latest flash fiction story, Shifting.
Not that the lines between fantasy/science fiction/horror are all that defined, of course, and not that I don't intend to spend time blurring those lines still further in the future.
Anyway, enjoy!

And in its absence, hunger:
Mar. 28th, 2010 11:15 amMy latest flash fiction story, "And in its absence, hunger" is up at Everyday Weirdness.
What's mildly awesome about this is that in reading it over, I immediately realized it mildly contradicts one of the answers I gave to an interviewer just this weekend (for an upcoming Shine anthology promotional thing). I probably should be paying more attention to what I actually write.
Anyway, enjoy!

A Twisted Light
Nov. 17th, 2009 03:07 pmEveryday Weirdness has my short story, A Twisted Light, up today.
This almost inspired me to write something about horror and writing and genre and the differences between the genres I usually read and the genres I usually write (there's less overlap than you would think), but I'll just leave you with this story instead.

My flash fiction piece, "Creation," is up at Everyday Weirdness today. The story is marginally based on a poem I wrote back in college; sometimes, ideas just creep back into my mind, even when I thought them long dealt with and only memories and shadows.
