Arrow

Yesterday was an unexpectedly exciting day for me, not always in a good sense (a school shooting at a nearby high school which added several police cars to my little trike ride home from Target), so exciting that I pretty much missed for several hours that Nanoism had accepted and published a little untitled twitter story of mine, which you can read here. It won't take long, I promise.

And then there was Arrow, which offered another game changing episode last night, and suddenly made my life look completely dull by comparison. Clearly I need to start wearing a green hood.

Suddenly, superpowers rang out! And lo, there were many spoilers, though not about the romance stuff – I feel I covered that already. )
1. Today's mail brought something fun: my copy of One Sentence Stories, featuring -- spoiler -- 16 stories told in a single sentence, one by me. You can get the pdf for free at the link, but I have to say, this is a seriously cute little book in printed form. I have it up on my bookshelf of Things I Am In, pulled out from the other books before it gets lost.

2. Speaking of short little pieces, I also have a tiny poem in the latest issue of Dreams and Nightmares, which you can order for sample $5, pdf $1, paypal jopnquog [at] gmail [dot] com.

3. And speaking of tiny creatures, the latest Tor.com post, about the Borrowers again, is up at Tor.com.
...because along with everyone else, I have been following Twitter and Boston feeds.

So more on the latest issue of Mythic Delirium, which includes my poem "Gleaming," and about 16 One Sentence Stories, which includes my very little story "For a Mortal's Love," next week, when hopefully we'll all be more able to pay attention.
Another little Twitter story up at Thaumatrope today: Angelic Proof.
This has been an utterly hellish day, so much so that I nearly missed a couple of publications that came out today:

First, Innsmouth Free Press has published part two of my ongoing Devil Reef tale here and here. If you're confused, you might want to catch up on part one here.

Second, Nanoism has published another little twitter story of mine here. We'll call this one "Gone."

Now, to go hunt down the Haagen-Daas ice cream in the freezer - the Mint Five flavour. I've been neglecting that relationship for longer than I should, and as we know, neglecting relationships is never healthy.
Another little twitter story of mine up at Thaumatrope. This one is titled "Most Awesome Death Ever."

Funny thing: I completely forgot that a) this was appearing and b) that I wrote it; when it showed up on my Twitter feed, my first thought was, "heh," followed by, "wait...that sounds vaguely familiar...." It's a bit strange to encounter mostly forgotten writings, even when I can easily guess the inspiration for this one.

My little Twitter story, "Eye-opening," just won third place in the Nanoism fiction contest. This is so cool since I never win things like this. You can read the story by following @nanoism on Twitter (my recommendation), or here.

Thaumatrope has just published another little microfiction of mine here. We'll call this one "Bell."

In the meantime, officially tired of feeling like crap.
