So, um, why, exactly, can't Smoke Monster leave the island again? What, exactly, would be so awful about that? Is it just a desperate, desperate need to get into some red or blue or green clothing at some point?

Because I am beginning to think that may be Lost's central message: dress your little children in multiple colors, so they don't grow up angry and resentful with a tendency to run off to inexplicable camps filled with inexplicable Romans and Egyptians (I am thinking) to make inexplicable donkey wheel things (well, inexplicable to me. Maybe I missed something. I do that a lot with this show) and later somewhat less inexplicably kill their mothers so that they can be tossed into a cave filled with the light of the world that for some reason is sulking in a cave instead of rushing out to help out with the world's energy and lightbulb needs.

I am suddenly on Widmore's side! YAY SHOW!

I will never understand this island, will I? BAD SHOW!

Also, Kate didn't die. I am very disappointed.

Also, I go back to pointing out that I was not overly fond of Jacob in the first place, and finding out that he's the sort of dude that would toss his brother into a glowing cave (that probably just wanted to be left alone, thanks muchly) just because his brother had the sense to kill the serial killer woman who, not at all incidentally, killed their mother and then killed a bunch of inexplicable Romans and Egyptians (I am guessing!) does not lessen my dislike for him in the slightest. Bad Jacob. (Although I am PUZZLED. If Jacob couldn't do anything to harm the Man in Black how come he kept beating his brother up and was able to throw him into a glowing cave? Beyond the "the writers have no sense of in episode continuity". And while I'm puzzled, why the hell would you kill someone when otherwise you would be left with trying to take care of baby TWINS on your own? It's bad enough taking care of one baby on your own. I can barely do it for 15 minutes. Twins? You need a village and a nanny service and major assistance with the diapers and about 25 eyes once they start crawling and stuff. I guess we can kinda understand how she became a serial killer after all.)
