Some time ago, Shimmer interviewed me regarding my story, "A Cellar of Terrible Things," which will be appearing in their upcoming issue 15. (Which not at all incidentally is available for preorder here and will be available for real order on Friday! So, upcoming soon!)

During the course of the interview, they made the mistake of asking me for writing advice.

....I think it's safe to say that after that no one will be asking me for writing advice again.
I'm interviewed up at Fantasy Magazine today. The entire interview made me remember that the Sicilian folktale I'm going on about is located someplace in a huge pile of boxes, like, THANKS ITALO CALVINO, and is not going to be found today. Sniffle. (Actually I can't remember if I encountered the tale through him or not....something that can only be verified through those boxes. More sniffling.)

Anyway, that marks my third appearance someplace on the net this week. If you missed them, the other two were Mademoiselle and the Chevalier and the latest Tor.com post, chattering about L. Frank Baum's Sky Island.
Two mostly unrelated matters:

1. Innsmouth Free Press just published the latest installment of "Shadows of the Reef." I'll be putting up a post listing all of the installments in order fairly soon, but in the meantime, if you'd like to catch up, you should be able to do so by clicking the tags for Innsmouth Free Press or Shadows on the Reef. (The tag for Cthulhu includes some additional stuff.)

2. I am interviewed over at SF Signal.

Spotlight

Aug. 7th, 2009 08:41 am
Fantasy Magazine has done a little author spotlight on me. Quite naturally, the second I sent it off, I regretted about half the things I said, and thought of about 500 things I should have said, a feeling that hasn't gone away since. Ah well.

Offline for much of the next couple of days doing various and sundry matters.
