Forgot to mention that this was happening while Twitter was happily ignoring my existence and refusing to let me look at it last week.

I know many of you cherish certain, shall we call them, bitter? angsty? irritated? feelings towards that internet behemoth, Amazon.com. This is not a post to defend Amazon.com, or denounce them, or explain their secret alliances with squirrels.*

* This is an outright lie on my part. At least I hope so.

Because it's Monday, and we all need more poetry in our lives on Monday:

1. southernweirdo has recently released a short chapbook of what he calls speculative halibun. Definitely different.

2. Stonetelling is a welcome addition, only the second zine (that I know of) to focus solely on speculative poetry. (Many others – particularly Strange Horizons, Abyss and Apex and Ideomancer and publish poetry, but not exclusively.) Which is perfect, because sometimes I want to drown in poetry, and Goblin Fruit only comes out quarterly.

Stonetelling will be following that quarterly format, and the debut issue bodes very well indeed, opening with a poem from Ursula Le Guin and continuing on from there.

3. And finally, on a purely humorous note, if for some reason you missed it, The .doc File of J. Alfred Prufrock, which wins the internet for the day.

Ok, admittedly this is not exactly the first time I've indulged myself with writing out a beyond silly idea at far too great a length. Still, I'm blaming this one entirely on benpayne. If some of you refuse to speak to me for awhile, I'll entirely understand.
